DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
For a team in need of World Tour points he's useful as he does bring in a lot.

Letizia Paternoster from Jayco Alula to Human Powered Health.

Bit surprised, thought she was happy and seemed really well supported there, and HPH didn't strike me being as big a team as JA, or maybe I am not reading things correctly.

Both I think.

I'm surprised Jackobsen is getting a deal, moreso at Visma.
Also surprised Netcompany let August go.

Agreed, they were saying about how promising a prospect he was when they signed him, and didn't he just win a stage at the weekend?

Good move for Jakobsen I would wager, joining to be a lead out man presumably?

Also thought the August move a bit odd, INEOS develop him and just at the point he is starting to get the wins he leaves. Obvs we don't know the whole story, maybe Q365 just made him a better offer

August won the overall at whatever tour it was. Best result they've had in a while!

Nothing for him is there? GT races nearly over and if he was fit he has to face his nemesis. Wouldn't be surprised if Jonas called time on his career

I would be.

There was never any chance of him starting the Vuelta, having raced 1.5 GTs already this season and having little time to prepare for it given he's just had a load of metalwork put into his shoulder. He might have been able to train for the Worlds, but it's not really his sort of race (the hard climb is less than 2km) even if he was a one day racer. This season was always going to be over after the Tour, barring a possible visit to Canada.

He's still got some career goals (e.g. winning all the big 7 stage races - 5 down 2 to go) and I'm sure he's aware that it only takes a moment's lost concentration and it could be Pog slipping out on a corner instead of him, and I saw nothing to suggest that any of the podium contenders have significantly closed the gap on him yet

What do we think of De Lie? 24 years old and already has 35 pro wins, though precious few at the very top end (GP Quebec, Bretagne Classic and Renewi GC his biggest - and only WT wins). Was sent out to farm UCI points in SSR's (see Cav for the acronym...) but couldn't keep Lotto WT in '22, succeeded in getting promotion '25.... Has had some complicated media attention and weird stuff going on with Lotto. Earmarked for greatness early on but.... a bit overhyped really? Somehow more Arno the Kid than Arnaud the Wünderkind?

Arnaud De Lie . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Arno Van Imp (Arno the Kid)
