I dou bt it's that rushed. He spent most of the winter looking down the barrel of an end to his career he hadn't chosen, just to not having a new contract. That's the sort of thing that gives you perspective.

He seems sincere and is very nice about ineos. If my theory that he'd fallen out with them was true then I'm sure he would have been a bit snippy. Maybe he's just had enough
