How are T3 and Triban owners in general finding the stock tyres during this autumn weather?

TBH, the wet leaves on the roads terrify me. Simply have a fear of spilling it on the roads round here. Many are tree lined and obviously have the regular autumnal covering of leaves. I imagine the wet leaves are hazardous regardless of tyres fitted.

Anyone had any scary moments recently?

They're normally held on by small nuts and bolts or screws. Why take them off though? if nothing else they'll get you in the habit of riding with your feet in the correct position.

I'm too clumsy! Almost fell off the bike whilst trying to flip the pedal up to stick my foot in there. Without it would be easier, I suppose! But yes, if I don't manage to take them off, might as well get used to it...

Agreed! just a shame about the carbon forks... Why couldn't they have the white one with the same specs? Maybe it was a bit shallow to go for the white one just for looks but the red... Just doesn't do it for me.

Just don't put your 'other' foot into the toe clip until you have cleared any junctions and are well underway. Then you can use the speed you have already gained to cruise whilst you flip the pedal and insert your foot. It takes a little practice but they are not normally an issue, but I have been using them all my life (can go clipless due to foot issues and being slightly paralysed down the left side of my body - don't have that level of control over my lower left leg, but toe clips are fine for me). I have swapped the Decathlon ones out though for the type I prefer which are easier for me to use with boots on.

I've had a scary moment on them recently coming doing snaithes bank in Osmotherley. Found that in the wet and on the slightly dirty surface that they lose the grip very easily so tend to slide from side to side as you pedal.

On the flip side the cartridge brakes do a good job of stopping the wheels in the wet as I managed to lock up and slide sideways while maintaining control as gravity was taking over. If you are regulary going to go down twisty hills at speed over winter then I would reccomend changing the tyres as you'll probably have to walk down the descents in the end like I did for safety and fear of falling off!

I already had a scary moment with them in September. Big rainstorm, lots of water on the road, was cycling on Exhibition Rd (pedestrianised surface), and it just felt like ice. I went around a roundabout at about 5 mph and came off in slow motion, the bike just slid out under me. These tyres are worse than useless, I intend to change them as soon as I can.

Conti GP 4 season is better, I understand. I have them on my other bike and have found them much better!
