People who gather on platforms right in front of the doors of a train as it arrives, then look confused at the idea tha there may be prople who need that space on to get off the train, so they can get on.

Extra annoyance from those who refuse to move and look indignant when asked.

In the same vein, people who attempt to overtake a cyclist when there is an island in the middle of the road coming up and end up making a prat of themselves or nearly knocking off the cyclist.
I make sure that I am far enough out to block them. Twice in two days drivers then chose to overtake me on the wrong side of an island rather than hold back for a second or two!

Confession time... I also did it myself on my ride yesterday evening! (There was only one car about and that suddenly stopped directly in front of me on the left of an island to pick up several people from the railway station. I could have done an emergency stop but chose to keep going on the wrong side of the island. Sorry!!)

I am peeved to find out that I missed a blood test this morning because Royal Mail failed to deliver the appointment letter. I phoned the clinic this afternoon and they said that this has been happening a lot recently!

I managed to get a new appointment for Monday and a new letter has been sent out. (I need a barcode for the nurse to scan with the blood testing machine.) There is a good chance that THIS letter will not arrive in time so the clinic emailed me a copy just in case.

That's happened to me as well. I eventually got my appointment letter late with a month's worth of post.

Jesus. Here in Denmark all of that is digital. I've got an app with all of my appointments in, messaging to the various different hospitals/doctors that treat my range of conditions. I get the blood test results back - graphed so I can see if stuff is moving up/down, and booking times for appointments etc. I can msg my doctor asking for a prescription renewal, and I can see all my prescriptions past and present. With my specialists I can ask them questions, post pics of any symptoms and ask if I need to change something up.

There are multiple apps available here. (Why they haven't settled on one, I don't know!) They are not well integrated with the whole NHS system though.

I can't make doctor's appointments at the local health centre - they told me to go away and call in to join a ridiculously lengthy telephone queue! Failing that, to use xxx app. I downloaded the app, set it up, and... found that the appointments part of it is not enabled!

I tried another couple of apps. Eventually I found one that I could use. I request an appointment and eventually a doctor phones me to see what the problem is and decides whether I need an appointment.

As for my blood test appointments letters. That information does not appear on any of the apps that I have tried. Once I phoned to chase up the missing letter they emailed me in seconds. I think that I will phone them back tomorrow and request that they always email me a copy to avoid this problem in future.

We have had this confirmed by our local postie that we are friends with. In our area at least, the Royal Mail letters are unofficially delivered every two days regardless of what the system is supposed to be. Some letters are supposed to be priority and daily but some of those slip the net.
Packages are treated separately. Expect this to get worse as the number of letters physically posted gets less and less.

The ones who use the wide access gates when they don't need to, just to avoid a queue of about 3 people.
