On which topic Ring now have a feature that comes as default where it can look for missing pets such as stray doggies and ickle pussy cats that have got lost

poor little little pets who have lost their loving homes and their caring "parents"

it looks at all the local (whatever they decide that means) and compares a picture of the poor little pet with the footage from cameras and compares them

In other words it is a feature that allows Ring Central to scan doorbells in the whole area looking to match against an image when "something gets reported"

and it is absolutely NOT EVER going to be used for anything else
and no potential rapist is ever going to use it to track where that nice lady down the road with big ***s goes with her dog when she takes it for an evening walk
and clearly he will never think of ever using that for dodgy motives such as the darkest place she generally heads for

these big companies are just not to be trusted

Your thought process is a little scary.

We watch a lot of true crime things

and I have a very good idea of how computer system work - as I used to write programmes and configure them

so I know a lot of what is possible and I can see how big companies think

the dodgy bit is because I can see how some people think - which can be scary - but that is why we need controls on how data is used

and I generally distrust big companies and how they see possible "opportunities for new business)

Still, you went there instead of a multitude of other potential crimes.
