WTF are 'sliders' why can't they be called what they are instead of inventing some word to try to make what I presume is a mundane thing seem exciting

Add to that people who put their bins on the pavement along the side of their car so it's impossible to pass.

Neighbours have just had a MASSIVE extension built
and a very posh designer type garden 'make over'
just after that they got the council to change their bins for nice new ones - presumably so th eold ones don't let the new garden down
but it has now been sitting outside my drive for 3 days - just far enough out of the way to not be a problem
but it is still in the road - why don;t they take the shiny new thing back inside???
(tempted to swap it with my old battered one - pity my house number is on mine so they would know who did it!!!

Mine and the others around here are emptied approximately at 10.45 am every Tuesday. I leave it on the pavement till about 7 till 8 pm to annoy the neighbour below who once said out loudly as she dragged her's in "I wish him upstairs would move his f..k..g bin
, instead of just leaving it there"!

Sliders are basically cheap copies of crocs AIUI.
Presumably called that because you just slide your feet into them.

No they're not, they're the things worn around the pool.
A bit like flip flops but without the 'toe post', look ridiculous worn with socks but that's fashion apparently?
