I got a moth infestation when I lived in Hebden Bridge about 25 years ago and have been unable to stop the little swines. They came over to Todmorden with me when I moved here about 10 years ago!

I have been killing 4 or 5 a day this week but they just keep coming...

Are they actually eating things though?

Now that we have a couple of days of warm weather what really annoys me are flies - they come in then spend hours flying around pretending that they don't know how to get out - FFS flies grow up!

You open the door for them and they still miss! 🤦‍♂️🤣

In Hebden Bridge they ate all my woollen clothing then the woollen carpet!

I don't know what they are eating here - pretty much no wool left!

Might just be moths generally, provide a lamp for them somewhere out of the way instead and be done with it.

What species are they, as only a very few actually eat clothes and so on?

I'm more slightly worried than annoyed that I spotted 2 small moths hanging around my tweed, wool, linen and silk clothing yesterday. We have a moths eating clothes problem in the retro clothing shop I work in, with the owner constantly battling to keep them at bay. Those 2 I saw might not be natural fibers eating moths and just part of the insect influx we get in our homes in the summer and I've never had a problem with them before, but I'll be keeping an eye open for possibly seeing more than 1 or 2 in my flat.

I've seen a lot more recently as well. Also, there's a woman who comes to the gym and always smells of mothballs. Perhaps there is an infestation in Birmingham as well?

Moths? Nah.

Problem are the horse flies around at the moment. It was damp this morning so on ride when I stopped to wait for club to arrive it was a nightmare. Several bites in a few minutes and they don't hurt but itch like buggery afterwards.

I have no idea, but they look exactly like the little wool munching ones that have been plaguing me since the late 1990s!! They hide and breed in dark places.
Sounds like parts of Todmorden...
