Was in Whitby last wkend and they have pedal actuated bin lids to stop the vermin getting in. Quite a few signs about warning about the low flying tealeafs.

There was a short section on the Danish news today about the gull problem in a Danish town, and though I guess I could possibly classify as an ex-Brit I don't live there.

Maybe the problem is spreading? I'd advise all areas to clamp down on it in that case. Prevention is easier than the cure.

Bloody dog up the street.It hates being outside.It's like an earwig,it's not even big enough to be a dog.So lunchtime it is put out for fresh air i guess yap yap bark,but bark what an excuse for a bark,then tea time about six ish now its seven and i have had to shut the conservatory door,little shoot it is.I could wring its neck.If you are going to get a dog at least get one that looks like a dog.Or make sure its balls have dropped.

Somewhere in the local council there will be a person who deals with that. Well there is around here.
Ask yourself how I know.
You dob in the address with a complaint about the noise and you think the dog is neglected.
They make contact with the owner....

Well, it worked for me.

But just got back from a trip and the little thing is up to it's old tricks. Might have to find the email address if the nice lady at the council

But why do people, in supermarket 'cashier lanes', pay for their groceries by card (which is completely acceptable BTW) and then request card cashback, when there is an ATM right outside?
I've checked all the queues, determined that this lane is the quickest; and just want to pay for my groceries and get out ASAP.

Because it is quicker (for them) than going to the ATM and going through the cash withdrawal transaction. Probably saves them 2-3 minutes, at least.
