My old Samsung is like that but it is no longer an issue because it is now dedicated to just being an HD monitor for an Apple TV box. I use that to run the apps for my smart turbo trainer.

Regular TV duties are now the responsibility of a modern Panasonic TV which has a much faster processor capable of doing its job at a good snappy pace. No more jerky scrolling through lists of content on YouTube, Netflix, Prime etc.

I think even the modern TVs are too slow!

My Panasonic can scroll faster than I can read the content descriptions, which is fast enough for me.

The only thing that I am not 100% happy with is occasional slight picture judder when scenes are slowly panned. That is very hard to eliminate on OLED TVs. There are settings that can reduce it but they create really unnatural movement nicknamed the 'soap opera effect' which I find worse than the judder.

So, on the subject of measuring things, why do these bridge height signs have differing values in metric & imperial? (As in one metric measurement has varying imperial values). And yes, there's a rational(ish) explanation
