Tube size please

Hi

Bought some 26 x 1.5 continental city contacts for my mountain bike. I'm thinking of using this during the winter months so getting it set up.

They came with free inner tubes (lovely), but these are size 26 x 1.75-2.25 (or something like that). I did try fitting them until I realised that they were too big (or I'm just thick).

I would assume I would need something around the 26 x 1.3 - 1.75 mark?

Hope someone can help before I order them.

I think you're right.

Incidently, I bought three Continental tubes out of Halfords last night and got one of them free! They've got an offer on, but nothing to tell you. Might be worth seeing if your Halfords is the same, I bet it is.

Chain Reaction cycles have been on the phone (fair play) and have checked the stock they have. The lovely Brian said YES the tubes are bigger than the tyres but I should still get them on ok.

All I know is that I tried for about an hour (yes I did blow them up slightly Brian love ....) and got that frustrated that I ended chucking them in the air.

I am going to have another go tomorrow and attempt them again.
