My Cannondale Scalple came with tubeless tyres when I got it in 2004. I personally think that they are great, especially with a syringe full of Stan's No Tubes sealant in them.

Now I normally use Hutchinson tyres which are great because they are airtight on the rim without having to apply sealant to seal the tyre to the rim.

However, I fitted Botranger Jones Mud tyres this winter because the tread looked good. I found that they are not airtight without the use of sealant and that the side walls are pants as I have split two, leaving me without the option of plugging the hole or even using the "last resort" inner tube. I am now back on the Hutchinson Rhinos for the mud season.

Question: Has anyone out there found a good UST tyre or let us know if you have used one that has missed the mark.
