You did the 3rd fastest in a Strava segment with over 3300. You must have been cooking.

Edit. 5 top 10s.

We were motoring in sections. I got dropped on one of the longest and fastest segments we were riding 27-29mph on the flat for over 10mins, even on my own I was only 20 seconds slower than the pack. I should not worry so much I was riding 40mm gravel tyres so there is a little penalty in speed.

I don’t know what all the fuss is about ^_^
You will all be fine
Sun is beating down in sorrento :sun: but I am NOT tackling these roads on a bike - I just cannot work out the logic of how the roads work ! It is a total free for all - softest vehicle stop or get crumpled !
Years ago I heard the first rule of driving in Italy was to throw away the rear view mirror.

Recommended method for achieving best average speed,
  1. ride with a bigger pack,
  2. stay out of the wind even crosswinds, move to the leeward side
  3. ride with a constant speed, no surges
  4. ride more aero to save energy
  5. rotate riders constantly to allow recovery(50-100yards on front)

I think you might have the photos reversed. Those 40s had some blazing fast times last weekend.

Hahaha, you're right Randy. The G Ones are a great all round tyre. I run them with about 45psi. They're really smooth, float over bumps and lumps. I'm hoping the aero wheels will take less effort to keep them at quicker speeds
