My boy has a bike with 24" x 1.5" road tyres but I am struggling to find this size in nobbly tyres. I have found 24" x 1.75" and wondered if these would fit??
They also have 40-507...could any one tell me what this means please??[/QUOTEi
its another sizing mark . the 24xi.75 is the one you need to know about as that's the one we use . forget the other one
If my ageing memory serves me correctly they are the METRIC sizes and as @surfdude states don't worry about thatThey also have 40-507...could any one tell me what this means please??
Always remeber "IF IN DOUBT ASK ! "So confusing!! When you are new to it all lol. Thank you guys...I am soaking it all up like a sponge!!![]()
second that . lots of helpful people on here .Always remeber "IF IN DOUBT ASK ! "
By that I take it you mean the direction of rotation ? if so depending on what make the tyres are and the use to which he is going to give them I would again not worry yourself overly on that.Cheers Surfdude!! I have noticed that it has them on the wrong way now!! Not our fault, they came like that! Tut tut wheelbase lol
That is the ETRTO sizing which is the better one to use than the imperial size as you are more likely to get the correct tyre. In your example it means a 40mm wide tyre to fit a 507mm diameter wheel. They also have 40-507...could any one tell me what this means please??
