just make sure when you fit them they are facing the right way . they should have an arrow on them .

Cheers Surfdude!! I have noticed that it has them on the wrong way now!! Not our fault, they came like that! Tut tut wheelbase lol
By that I take it you mean the direction of rotation ? if so depending on what make the tyres are and the use to which he is going to give them I would again not worry yourself overly on that.

They also have 40-507...could any one tell me what this means please??
That is the ETRTO sizing which is the better one to use than the imperial size as you are more likely to get the correct tyre. In your example it means a 40mm wide tyre to fit a 507mm diameter wheel.

The imperial sizing can be confusing as there are some older/more obscure sizes which are also called 24 inch but wouldn't be compatible with the wheels you have if you came aross them. (The same applies to 26" and 28" tyres)

You have a certain amount of flexibility in the tyre width but the diameter needs to match the wheel rim. Have a look at this PDF which explains about sizing and pretty much anything else you need to know about tyres. Hope it helps.:thumbsup:
