Colour coordinated can look nice when new, but does look tatty after a while, Black tyres and black bar tape.:okay:

Coloured tyres are less durable and also have less grip than the black equivalents (to do with silica used in the rubber compound for coloured tyres whereas carbon is used with black)

Matching rubber and bar tape would be a bit too conspicuous for my liking. . . . unlike prancing around in lycra at my age lol.

I have just spent £180 on kit and accessories (essentials etc) for the Specialized Tarmac, she will look beautiful, but most importantly, I will match the colours with the Castelli Jersey!

Would love to have bought a Specialized jersey, but didn't quite fancy the designs

Cripes! I've only just got used to black tyres with no gumwall.

Coloured tyres: Too jazzy. If you need some colour in your life go to a disco.

Adding flare to the bike rides I go on :ninja:

Do you really mean flare or did you mean flair? There's a difference.

I prefer contrast and clash generally so my black steel bike had the lime rubino although it is now plain black, looks cool though.

My carbon bike which is black with hi viz stripes has got red tyres on, it looks like a cheap tart but I like the style.
