I don’t mind getting the newer ultegra cassette as I want to put the old one on to my old rear wheel for my turbo trainer that’s if the new model ultegra will work on my bike
Fair enough, but there's little value in spending lots more on a cassette unless yiu gave a lot of ready cash and it doesn't matter what you spend. Especially as lighter higher end will wear more quickly

If you really want to replace the chainset, then what length do you have on there at the moment, it will be written on the inside of cranks? 6800 is getting a little bit rarer but there are some deals around right now. £125 for 50/34 but only if you want 170mm cranks.

@dave147 - has the crankset got Shimano written on it? If so it'll almost certainly be a Hollowtech II bottom bracket which is fine. The model is written on the inside of the cranks along with the length - that matters.

Actually, it'll almost certainly be a Shimano Pressfit BB (BB71 or BB92).

Still compatible with the Ultegra 6800/8000 cranks, but watch out if you're changing the BB as well.
