I feel your pain, MrsF has let us run out of balsamic vinegar and now we can't marinate the tofu.

You feel peed off OP,imagine how i feel about my 2 grand a year beer habit producing about £1300 tax!:cursing:
On a more serious note. When i start to think life's treating me badly i think of people like the bloke down the road who's son died suddenly last year. He's been told he has terminal cancer,he's only 56. Some things don't seem so bad when you hear of stuff like that.

Stand for election.
I'm English and a Tory. That's a death sentence as far as most Scottish electorates are concerned. I'd need to be a hugely charismatic orator and influencer to carry that off. I'm neither.

I'm lucky, if you call it that, having lived in both Scotland and England long enough to be able to switch between accents convincingly. Perhaps a career as a Scottish politico lays ahead for me? I could be First Minister - no powers to do any real harm, and talk a lot of Bo*****s.

Hold on, were the Tories not the most successful ever party at the last Holyrood elections? I thought they had won more seats than there were to contest.

I know this is a 1st world problem, I think UK still qualifies as 1st world? straying slightly off topic I've heard of the 1st world, I've heard of the 3rd world, but where is the 2nd world?

Anyway back on topic, yes I know compared with the millions that die each year & those that have to really fight to just to stay alive the anxiety & stress felt by reasonably well off people in the UK should be & in some ways is, trivial. But none the less it is real to us, I asked @Flick of the Elbow earlier if he was in his mid 50's as this is where I am & life does appear to be getting harder, I still have aged parents, I have children & grandchildren, I personally have very little pension saved up, I have had to use all my earning & more in the past just to get through life. Whether you all like it or not it isn't easy being white, middle aged, middle classed (stretch for me) heterosexual, man in this country, granted it should be but I can assure you it's not.

Because the idiot ideology of privatisation insists private enterprises are more efficient than government services.
It says that, but the real ideology is "plausible deniability of using outdated equipment and exploiting workers more than the electorate would allow the public sector to do"

Jump on a plane to somewhere like Lagos, Kinshasa or Nairobbery and mix with some local folk there to understand what it means to be under siege. Sorry to say it but compared with them you live in Heaven.
