Uneven Tyre Widths

Currently on my winter/training bike I have 25mm 4 seasons. A month back I transferred the front to the rear and got a new front. The old tyre hasn't lasted long (started to cut up in places) so I need to replace it. A bit impatiently  I've ordered a 23mm 4 season thinking I'll put it on the front and transfer the 25mm to the rear. Is there likely to be a problem running different tyre sizes?

Nope, a 23/25C Fr/Rear set up is fine. It is my preferred choice for my Specialised Sirrus hybrid/tourer. I do occasionally run a 28 rear with the front still 23C if I have an excessively heavy load on the rear rack. But as always try it on your bike and see how you get on. But it should be fine . I run either a Vittoria All Condition Team Pro 3 which I think is now the Rubino on the front or a Specialised All Condition Armadillo with an SAC Armadillo on the rear but the larger profile.

It'll be cheaper than running the Conti Attack/Force 22mm/24mm combo which supposedly maximises control, power output and all sorts of other things. So they claim.
