Unexpected rides..

Does anyone else think such rides are the best rides?

I managed to get out of the lab early today; grabbed my bike and managed a quick blast! Lovely riding in the evening sun; all the more satisfying because it was on stolen time I didn't think i'd have! Didn't go far, only around 35km- an hour or so well spent though in beautiful weather!

Completely agree! The snatched rides can be the best.

I very rarely get a surprise ride in, mostly have to plan either an extended commute or a weekend ride in advance.

I can see the appeal though, I used to have the same opinion of nights out, the unplanned ones always being the best !
