@Cycling Dan
love the avatar btw.

Yes i agree and i don't wish to upset or argue with Dan at all i just don't get his point. Unless the OP broke any law which im not aware of. Usually someone can say your in the wrong as you went against what your allowed to do, or you acted in a dangerous manor etc. I don't see any of that in this case that's all.
Thats the point. I agree with him but just differ on the justification or I have taken a broader view on justification(if that doesn't sound too arrogant).I don't think your positions on the incident are that far apart.

I do it all the time. I just happen to have my history head on(lots of coursework in the process of being done).Thats settled then we are both right just me more than you. Nah im kidding i dont look at the broader view as im thick so i just take it on face value which does get me in trouble

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat itThats the trouble with History your always stuck in the past![]()
On a motorcycle I often did exactly that. I also do the same on my bicycle when filtering on the left would be dangerous.Would you overtake in that situation in a car? That was riding on the wrong side of the road.
Oooo steady nowWe're in England speaking English, and as such it shall be Arse! *said in a toff accent.
I did and saw the cyclist jump a red light. I'm sure that is illegal unless temporary traffic lights mean stopping is voluntary.
I personally think that the taxi driver could of and should of moved over but you shouldn't have put him in that position in the first place. That was not safe filtering for me. You put yourself massively at risk there.
