Wonderful! Congratulations!

My wife had her first scan today... I am feeling completely tearfully, overwhelmed now, having just seen the beating heart of my child. It is something you can't possibly be prepared for. I have never been happier in my life.

Well I never, brilliant. You think that's overwhelming, wait 'till it pops out, unbelievable.

I LOVE that quote about cycling being good for pregnancy!! Luckily doctor, midwife and cardiologist (have dodgy heart) didn't even blink at me still cycling, cardiologist positively encouraging of it. I am a lot slower though, esp up hills. Husband delighted, he can now beat me

I cycled until I was nearly 7 months pregnant as I wanted to put off traveling in rush hour on public transport for as long as possible.i also worked up til a week before I was due,I think because I kept active i didn't put on too much weight and I had a very speedy labour
