Cathryn & Richard - congratulations.

Yes it can be hard work, yes it's not just for Christmas but it can be very rewarding and much fun. Our daughter will be 33 in a few months time and has provided 3 lovely grandsons. We wouldn't change (much more than) a minute of it.

Congratulations .

You could get a rickshaw you in front and Richard pedalling or a ute bike to help carry your new born until he can reach the pedals himself to share the load then you can get a tandem . You have the fun of kids' bikes and stabilisers to look forward to.

I'm only a newish member to the forum, but is this the first forum baby?

It's about 8 weeks time. I've already got a bit of a bump so should have a decent sized bump by then. I'm nearly 16 weeks and I'll be 24 on the day.

Many thanks for the kind words ref my chunkiness. I'm feeling slightly fat at present, so they're much appreciated. It's quite hard to get used to not looking like me. I'm not complaining, it'll just take a while to get my head round it.

Don't think of it as fat... its a totally different shape, I think women can look really good when pregnant - especially in those middle months when they are over the tired, sick phase and before they reach the enormous I can't touch my toes stage at the end. Be proud of your bump!!!

Congrats! Our daughter is 6 months old and despite people telling us we were too young (mid 20's) it's the best thing we've ever done, you'll love it.

My surname's Shaw, and I was very nearly called Richard!

Congratulations.

Our daughter is 3 months now, and me and the missus are loving every minute of it. Best laid plans go out of the window very easily, through needing a feed, nappy change etc, just before you are about to go out but you just don't care. I could very easily waste hours just sat watching her as she wriggles, gurgles and smiles away to herself.
