Serious question
Preamble: I've been in a relationship a loooonnnnnggg time, so we do what we do. For Valentines, that involves discussing what we should do, and then we do it. Dinner at home, nice restaurant, pizza and beer. It's always been a day when we celebrate us. So maybe I haven't been paying attention, but...
Is Valentine's a day when men give presents to women, but not women to men? Is so, how sad.
postscript: we only dated for a little over a year, so only had one V day before moving in together. He was a student, I was working. I sent him a big bunch of flowers, that the receptionist didn't bother to tell him were there until the next day; he drove across town in his old mini in 40C heat - mini minors do not like 40C heat - and left a single red rose on my door step. He won valentines day that year.
