I had an old farmer tell me I couldn't ride on a bridleway, I was at the time talking to a dog walker and we just looked at each other and laughed. I politely told him he was wrong and I was going to continue riding on it and I left him there chuntering on his tractor.

Not a tile bagging ride but our usual Saturday group ride takes us through one village which every couple of years is closed for a street market. My mates are from the neighbouring village and we passed through at the start of summer when it was closed, at walking pace saying hello to folk. We got to the end to have to pause for a moment as a car had tried to drive into the coned off street. When we heard a deliberately audible 'Tsk, typical cyclists ignoring closed roads'.

I see a closed road sign as a challenge.

Definitely into my territory my favourite area to cycle is the lanes around Market Bosworth , Any help with route planning when yo work your way over towards Leicester me and @Supersuperleeds will help

Some nice lanes for sure, although my squaring up ride was more A road bashing around there

LEJOG is the one where I stopped at Bosworth field.

Another day out today ,drove to a start point just above Ashbourne on the edge of the peaks which means hills . A 34 mile loop added 22 new squares total now 6744 ,max cluster up 45 to 3705 as a filled in an important hole which jumped my max square up by 2 to 53*53 . I'm a happy bunny , now need work on 2 sides to get to 54 . My Northern edge may not go any further north today's ride was over 105ft per mile I don't want to see red on my wahoo climb page in the near future 😁 I did say hills were expected stupidly I routed myself up a b@#£|@d of a hill behind Alton towers which I done before as soon as I turned onto it I thought WTF have I put this in for and this time I went even further up it

🚨 New tile related features in VeloViewer alert! 🚨

In the Activities page you can now sort by columns listing the number of tiles you crossed that ride, plus the number of NEW tiles you got as well! And then if you have the map open on the side, it will show the new tiles in yellow just like they appear when building a route on Strava.

YAY that even works for me. Previously the yellow highlight for new tiles didn't work.

Out at 5am this morning, but had to get back home quick because there's lots of DIY & garden chores to do, plus a father-in-law in hospital, and a butterflied chicken to BBQ.
The route on my Garmin was planned for a day with more time, so I had to reroute on the fly. I don't mind doing that if 'just' cycling, I always find that a bit of a nightmare, especially if tile-hunting. I saw several roads twice!
But was a beautiful morning, mist & horses in the fields, woodland, and some incredible houses on the private roads bordering Wentworth "pitch & putt".

My max square is still on 21x21, but I did a reasonable job of filling some gaps up near the north west corner of my Max Square,. Slightly annoyed by the unfinished business at Molesey, Laleham and between Woking & Frimley, but the foundations are improving for another jump in my max square soon.

Although do I do need to hold my nose and go cycling in Croydon!
