First tiles of the year ,Arrive to the start to grab a few squares near my bottom left corner invading @Norry1 territory. Parked at Hatton locks and rode to Redditch and back for 23 tils total now 6965 max cluster up 24 to 3816 .Picked up a square in Henley I annoyingly missed on my last trip through

A drive to a start point at Oundle beyond my bottom right corner so I could ride towards my Max square gathering squares and completing April's metric ton , 42 new squares total now 7024 and max cluster up 35 to 3865 . Looke like I might have a few tricky footpaths to navigate to extend my Eastern edge

With the bank holiday Monday I was going to go on a tile bagging gravel ride but one of my mates asked me for a ride last night. He also asked a couple of other nates. So I looked at a cafe that I hadn't been to but thought would be open and settled on the Colmworth Golf Club cafe. That got me a single tile.

I had a tile-collecting ride around that area planned for today in a strip from Brigstock to Finedon but I think I'll wait for the pollen count to reduce 🤧

There are indeed a couple of off-road tiles on the edge of your max square. The one east of Geddington was a particular challenge as, not only are there no roads, there are no footpaths either. I don't want to spoil your 'fun' but let me know if you want hints for any of them.

Not overly studied it yet but not sure there's a drive way on the eastern edge nearest the road or aI could get lost off the footpath to the north

After a lot of StreetView, satpic and Strava heatmap studying I wasn't convinced that I could get in from the road to the east. I ended up following a field edge down from the byway, crossed the footpath and wandered around the corner of a field. This was in October 2020 on the 'winter' road bike with 25mm slicks and I don't recall there being any real problems with the surfaces.

I messed up. Because of something going on at work that needed me there super early in the morning, I stayed overnight in the big smoke rather than commute in. This gave me the opportunity to rent an e-bike and cross off a few extra tiles on my London cluster.

I carefully planned my route on Strava, took my Garmin with me, but forgot to actually upload it from one to the other. However I was pretty sure I could remember the route as most of it was following cycle routes and I'd previewed some of the junctions on Google Street View. And it went quite well - I didn't think I made any obvious wrong turns and got to the end of my route successfully. Until of course I uploaded it to Veloviewer and found I'd missed a turn (or possibly made an extra one I wasn't meant to) and now have a gap in my map.

I'm not sure what has happened since Monday but velo viewer has removed 3explorer tiles and took 14 of my max cluster and 2 off my max connected column despite everything within the cluster and other being unchanged

If you have clicked on any rides to view them in isolation VV will have calculated the tile 'properly' rather than use the faster approximate method on the Activities tab. This can result in you either losing or gaining tiles and the associated clusters etc.
If you haven't clicked on each of your rides you are almost certain to have errors due to this approximation
