Veloflex Corsa clinchers - anybody tried them?

Anybody know how they ride and how practical they are for day to day use?

Your neighbour?

Not used them but the Veloflex's without the puncture prevention belt rode really nicely* however they didn't last too long.

*in comparison to other clinchers. In an ideal world everyone would use tubs and have a mechanic on a motorbike following behind.

At that price it's worth a punt for good tyres. Would be good to know the weight !
195g at a guess

Have not tried the Corsa's, but have just fitted a pair of Master's (700 x 23c) and first impressions are good. Excellent comfort and grip, currently with 100 psi front and 110 psi rear. They do ride and feel very nice on the road. Fitting can be slightly more awkward than usual clinchers (tight fit) but managed mine without too much trouble with some careful use of plastic tyre levers. However, I think Veloflex recommend fitting them with fingers only, so I am told!

Not sure if the Corsa's and Master's are essentially the same tyre except for sidewall colour?? Don't know.

Had a short ride earlier this evening, had been raining earlier and some of the roads were a little damp but tyre grip seemed very good. From a visual point of view, I do like tyres with a tan sidewall colour, bit of a traditionalist in that respect I guess! (Although the tread colour I went for is ...... er ...... ahem ...... a bit 'loud' possibly!! ^_^ ).

Well I bought a pair and as reported elsewhere, used them for the first time on the very wet Ride London 100. They are smooth, comfortable, feel fast and secure and were especially grippy and secure in the wet. I'm so happy with them that going back to Pro 4s is going to be a disappointment, so I hope they last a good long time and Ribble keep selling them cheap.

I've always fancied getting a pair of Veloflex tyres, the durability and puncture resistance are things I'm not convinced of though.
