Ah no, I gave up on latex ages ago when my cat clawed one and punctured it. They're lovely but too fragile for regular use. I use lightweight butyl now.

Who was wearing the latex at the time, you or the wife?

I've still got latex tubes on my Cannondale, but thought about lightweight butyl for my Basso when I run out of heavyweight butyl spares!

I'd like to take the Lithion 2s off the Cannondale and keep them as spares for the Basso and get something nice like the Veloflex for best. Trouble is they are £30 a pair more expensive and I am skint. I suppose I could always give up chocolate for 2 months and spend the money on new tyres instead ...

Have not tried the Corsa's, but have just fitted a pair of Master's (700 x 23c) and first impressions are good. Excellent comfort and grip, currently with 100 psi front and 110 psi rear. They do ride and feel very nice on the road. Fitting can be slightly more awkward than usual clinchers (tight fit) but managed mine without too much trouble with some careful use of plastic tyre levers. However, I think Veloflex recommend fitting them with fingers only, so I am told!

Not sure if the Corsa's and Master's are essentially the same tyre except for sidewall colour?? Don't know.

Had a short ride earlier this evening, had been raining earlier and some of the roads were a little damp but tyre grip seemed very good. From a visual point of view, I do like tyres with a tan sidewall colour, bit of a traditionalist in that respect I guess! (Although the tread colour I went for is ...... er ...... ahem ...... a bit 'loud' possibly!! ^_^ ).

We share a taste in tyres, Cyprus. I love orange treads but only on tan or ivory sidewalls, they look naff on black tyres. The first orange (Or any colour other than black) tyres I saw were tubulars used by former Dutch pro Jan Jansens and I always fancied a pair. Those veloflex of yours have just joined my wish list.
