For Renewi, three of us are going to be disappointed that Per Strand Hagenes didn't actually get into the team. Dunno if we get a replacement. I'm pretty sure I checked this last night as well, so must have been a late withdrawal.

If I try to join it I get an error message saying "You are not logged in as the owner of this team! Make sure that you are logged in by visiting the login form and logging in to the account that owns this team."
That's cobblers as I am logged in.
Have you blocked entry to others to guarantee yourself a win maybe?

Weird. I've not done anything to it, and wouldn't know how to. I can't even see a button or link to do anything, there's no option like "manage league" that I can see, and I can't even see what the invite code is.
But Velogames has always been a little bit shaky on site/league structure imo - for instance, if you go to Stage Race Championship, visit you team from an earlier round then go to the Cyclechat league and see the points for "Overall Stage Race Championship" it will show you the points at that point, but only for teams that rode that particular race (about 8 of use managing to get into every race). So you could have someone who comes in with a completely new team and does OK in the Vuelta, and someone who had a team for every team and forgot Spain existed, and the former would have a final ranking and the latter wouldn't - unless there's some specific view that they'll give us once everything is all over.
So weirdness is likely - I think it's because it was the hobby-project of one guy and grew organically, but not necessarily "straight". A few design questions early on might have been answered in ways that were pretty unhelpful later. I think database structure, UX, queries etc may have been based on it being for a single race (the Tour) and were never refactored later. Not complaining, I chuck the guy 5 or 10 quid a year as a tip for this, ad it's a huge undertaking. He's definitely not getting rich from it.
Anyway, no idea why it's gone wonky, but I expect a bit of wonkiness from it every now and again. And we can just as easily produce a Wot, No Pog? ranking from the main league - also without the issue that people who may have entered it for Le Tour *ought* to be still registered for La Vuelta, but they might pick Pog for that anyway. Which I guess was *my* design question that wasn't entirely well thought through (also, there loads of Pogless Tour entries that didn't join)

I was getting that message, but then when I refresh the team page, I am in both leagues - though it won't let me leave the no pog league (I have picked him this time), it asks if I am sure but doesn't give any button to click.

I'm rather pleased with how the Killer Bees are doing so far, considering the rather stupid selection criteria (surname must begin with B. If no such riders are available, then forename must begin with B). A 6th and a stage win so far.
I mean they are doing rather badly, but not as catastrophically badly as they might have. Mind you, things can always get worse.

As someone who had Ethan Hayter in their team and not Pog (obviously - never, ever Pog) I'm somewhat disappointed in how the last two stages have gone. Especially as I also have both Mads and Wout, neither of whom have lived up to expectations so far. Coming on the back of a Renewi Tour where I had the multiple stage and GC winner but not much in the way of secondary placings - and got shafted with a UAE rider who wasn't even good it's a miserable end to the season for me unless Skjelly can save me.

I'm thinking of making it a regular theme. My teams are always hopeless anyway, so why not be lexically interesting and hopeless?

I like to at least *try* and compete, but I can't bring myself to take it seriously enough to pick riders I wouldn't want to cheer on anyway. It's quite a serious failing really, unless you like the entire peloton
