As for me...

I am peeved to find out that I missed a blood test this morning because Royal Mail failed to deliver the appointment letter. I phoned the clinic this afternoon and they said that this has been happening a lot recently!

I managed to get a new appointment for Monday and a new letter has been sent out. (I need a barcode for the nurse to scan with the blood testing machine.)

There is a good chance that THIS letter will not arrive in time so the clinic emailed me a copy just in case.

Well, guess what? After receiving no mail for several weeks, I received 6 items in the post today, including the appointment letter sent first class yesterday afternoon, AND the original appointment letter sent first class 2 weeks ago!!!

Something is definitely wrong with Royal Mail round here!

I think it's a global problem: Australia Post are equally useless, and the only activity they excel at is avoidance of actually knocking on doors to deliver parcels direct to the occupants.

Not my experience in post code 3131.
They give a two hour window for delivery and are usually spot on.

I hoped this was a generic "vent your anger" thread that I could use to moan about my boss; he's such a ******!

I have one of them too, who's motivational techniques involve endlessly moaning about how we cost her her bonus and sending out emails telling us we're stupid and threatening to put most of the team on performance improvement plans rather than address the issues people are having.

• Saturday: Royal Mail attempt delivery to my home address. Via the website I organise redelivery to local Post Office on Monday.
• Monday: Royal Mail attempt delivery to my home address.
• Tuesday: Royal Mail attempt delivery to my home address. I spend 45 minutes on hold before speaking to customer service who assure me that delivery will be redirected to local Post Office for collection on Thursday.
• Thursday: Royal Mail attempt delivery to my home address.
