Very sad news

[Dave Davenport]

During a club run on Sunday May 6th, a long standing and popular member of our club crashed after clipping the rider in fronts wheel and was seriously injured. He had not regained consciousness since the accident and very sadly, died yesterday.

He was a cheerfull stalwart of our Wednesday Wheelers group and will be much missed by us all.

That really is very sad news. My thoughts are with his family, friends and club-mates.

It could happen to any of us, but fortunately it is rare that something so simple has such devastating consequences.

Wow, that's horrendous. Tragic and unfortunate chain of events...hope he wasn't in much pain or discomfort; as others say, it'd be nice to think his last memories were of doing something he loved.
