I am thinking of riding the Viking trail from Minis Bay to Ramsgate, some say it's not Recumbent friendly, which is the way i'd like to do it.
Any one ridden it ? It's a Sustrans route 15 mostly a prom ride.
So why am I told it's unsuitable for 'benting?

@Oldhippy is the expert I reckon.. I've done that route on a Brompton with no problems but can't remember it well enough to say for certain about a 'bent.
Nothing dodgy springs to mind, though 💭

It can be a bit awkward with three wheels but I'd say doable. There are a few over grown sections but they are short runs. A very pleasant route though.

I just compared the map of the route with my own cycling heatmap and I'm pretty sure I've ridden all of it (on my DF bike) at one time or another. Some recently, some less so. From memory it was all fine and I can't think of anything that was a problem or would be a problem for a recumbent (but then I don't know what kind of things give recumbents specific problems). The Reculver to Maragate bit is sea wall riding. Some concrete bits.

Margate round to Ramsgate was more sea front paths or quiet roads. Some surprising little hills.
