Cancelled again for 2021.
The reality of the vaccinations is that many restrictions will still happen well into the summer.

Can't believe I got a ticket in Oct 2019 and 'may' get to go in June 2022 , fingers crossed some of the later festivals go ahead, doubtful though. Much more important things to consider i know, but would have been a blast!

The festival industry is huge. All the suppliers and employees needed to run these huge events. If Glastonbury is cancelled then others will follow soon.

Yes, I appreciate all that , it's just the ridiculously over the top hype of it all and the BBC's arslikhan that gets my goat.

It's the biggest/most-respected long-running festival in ... well possibly the world. So "over the top hype" would be something to see.
Probably also the most diverse big event (I have no interest in JayZ, but folks get that option). I enjoy attending small specialist festivals, but they will never have the sheer range of .... stuff (comedy, yoghurt-knitting, meditation, axe-juggling, things I don't know the proper name for ...etc ...)

Personally I really enjoy the BBC coverage (even though I've never attended); it conveys a really NICE atmosphere, I can happily spend several June nights watching these other people having fun :smooch:
