I am not switching mine on until the update is announced. I use a Bolt v2 but my son has inherited my v1 which hasn’t been used since the issue arose.

As you have a V2 it won't be affected. As for the Bolt V1, switching it on/using it is not going to adversely affect it. The date and time will be out but otherwise it's still useable if you need to ride.
As and when Wahoo issue a fix for the V1 units then that will supercede what is on there anyway.

I was thinking same as you when I first read about all this but I used my V1 Bolt yesterday and it was fine. Still a very useable GPS unit, just not quite as up to date....

Yes, I am still using my Roam v1, but also recording simultaneously using the strava app on my phone, then deleting that if the Roam works OK.

It did this morning, but I had done a factory reset last night before hearing about this general bug.

I've just received same email from Wahoo that Petexxx got, I assume anyone who registered their Wahoo product has same. No update as such just shows they care. ^_^

Personally I'd just wish they'd get on and issue a fix.

AIUI, it is only the v1 (both blt and roam) which is affected.

I should clarify - I’m not switching on my old v1 (now used by figbat jr) until an update is out. Whilst he uses it, I am still responsible for its management.

Just back from a ride and when I ended it the date and time was correct. Only thing that seems out is quite a few segments missing from Strava that I'd expect to see. The ride was 42 miles 4000ft so lot of climbs and I'd expect to have around 25 or so segments listed but only shows 13.
