This, wiggling and scrunching toes when on the flat. Doing it on climbs throws my cadence off for some reason, and on downhills I find at hard to concentrate. That along with not cramming too many layers on seems to be the key. Compress your extremities and you'll restrict blood flow to them. Better to have really thick overshoes than really thick socks if you've not got room for them. For really cold (-3C), I wrap thin tinfoil under my insoles (shiny side towards my foot), wear a medium weight pair of wool hiking socks (the fluffier the interior the better) and some 2-3mm overshoes.Regular and deliberate toe wiggling
