Was I right to say what I did?

Whenever we've had visitors I've always made sure they've not parked over neighbours drives. It's common decency and consideration for others.

Is it me or are people generally becoming ruder and less considerate of others? I bloody despair sometimes. A few weeks ago I was parking at the supermarket. The car park was full but eventually I saw a space and went around the right way (following the arrows) to park, only for someone to go the wrong way and take the space. I sat in my car staring in disbelief and when I got eye contact with the woman, pointed out what she had done. She looked at me and said "tough". I could not believe I got such a reaction from a woman, who must have been early 60's (expect such behavious from younguns).
I must admit, the red mist came down and I was bloody raging. I saw her in the shop and restrained myself from saying something.

In the scheme of things, it's so trivial but I thought it was disgusting behaviour which seems to be commonplace these days.

I think so. Not all people, of course, but I think there are far more people who are rude, impatient and full of their own importance. In part, I blame TV like The Apprentice and 'talent' shows, where everyone is full of affirming their own importance above everyone else.

That said, there are lovely people of all ages still. I just think there are more tossers about.
