I have toe clips - and I am sticking with them for now.

Is there a lightweight waterproof shoe that will slip easily in and out of my clips that anyone knows of? And that I can wear on and off the bike?

I think overshoes will be a bit bulky, and trekking shoes are definitely a no go.

I suyppose I am really after a non-bulky waterproof trainer. Any suggestions?

unless your using guards, the water will still come in, and if it really tips down, without over shoes and waterproof trousers, your feet will still get soaked.

for most of it. you will only get wet feet when it absolutely pours it down, but then not a lot will keep you fully dry!!

I will keep dry socks in my pannier and try to make it to the nearest open fire. And if that just happens to be in a boozer...
