Are you very muscular? I reckon that you are 3-4" shorter than me (I am 6' 1"), and I still had a significant 'aero belly' at 80 kg. I think that I would need to be around 73 kg to get rid of it altogether, or a few kg heavier if I put on some (probably much-needed) upper body muscle.

My legs certainly are ! 73kg would be too low for me. Just keeping at it for the improvement in HBA1C as it was creeping up with excess weight.- We'll see how that's going in a couple of weeks with my usual annual blood tests. Could only get an evening one which isn't ideal for the 'usual test' for testosterone as I will be low. Morning tests are a bit hit and miss, take a reading before meds it's very low, take one 2 hours after meds it should be 'normal' but usually low end of the range. Wife has similar issues with thyroid meds, the meds surpress certain readings and unless you properly understand what they mean, the doctor goes ;oh you are on too much'. She's had to explain it every time to a new GP (she was under a consultant endocrinologist like me, but they have retired).

Weight / height measures like BMI are a bit blunt, given differing body shapes /builds. A very simple keep your waist measurement (measured around the belly button) at less that half your height is a much better guideline.

After being roundly fed up with the lack of progress, I thought I'd give Mounjaro a go - started in April at 97kg.

Currently at 82kg, losing approx 0.8kg a week.

Only side effect is a lighter wallet.

They should recommend that you wear it including your wallet

results would be amazing!!!

(OK OK - does not work so well based on modern society and online payments but you know what I mean!!)

Interesting. What's your exit strategy when you reach your target weight?

I'm currently ~4 weeks in to the same jab, at 49 and 98kg I'm struggling to shift it so bought some assistance.
I'm now 93kg (this morning).
My exit strategy is fairly easy as we do eat very healthy at home, gym 3 times a week plus walking the dog and cycling. My issue is wine and biscuits.
Lock the wine fridge and don't buy biscuits.
But on a serious note I suspect portion control will be easier in a few month after my stomach will naturally shrink from its reduced intake.

I dropped out the wines a while ago

That dropped my weight by quite a few kg over the next few months!

Not sure at the moment - a lot of people go on to "maintenance" which is a lowish dose or more spaced out. Would still be around £120/month or so.

I'm probably not actually spending that much on it, with the savings on food and booze - and I was starting to feel pretty unhealthy at 97kg, with elevated blood pressure & cholesterol and have limited time for exercise with young kids about (and lots of other responsibilities) - so honestly I'm fine with the price - and I expect it will drop in years to come as competitors establish.

Be prepared for it to slow a bit as you seem to lose a lot of water weight in the beginning.

Shotsy is a good app to track shots and weight (I didn't bother with the paid version)

If you aren't already aware monj dot com shows all the lowest prices with discount links - I'm still working my way through the various discounts!
