Well done Murray!

And if Fed beats him then we'll send the Grenadier Guards to beat him up.

Think the Swiss Army Knives will be able to deal with that threat!

Surprised no-ones come back to this yet...
Well, despite my 'dislike' of his mannerisms, i thought he handled himself well. I didnt see the later parts of the match but he did well. I think he can certainly hold his head high...i think i may have to re-evaluate my opinion of him, not based on getting so far (although well done to him for that), but for handling himself without all the usual 'mannerisms'.

Not me!

Don't care if he's Scottish, English or Mongolian: he's an arrogant prikk, IMO.

I'll be cheering for Rodge!

Totally agree I think he's a prick too, Roger Federer is a much a nicer bloke.

Yeah, a bit gutted. But I really like the guy and he has given me a lot of excitement during the years.

Regarding his mannerism... I would like to point out that he was present at the Dunblane Primary when a madman went on the rampage back in 1996 and killed 16 of his friends + his teacher. Murray has blankly refused to talk about it. But the two pointed fingers towards heaven when he won the semi final, which Murray refuses to explain, is pretty likely a tribute to his 16 deceased friends. I don't know, though. But that is my qualified guess. Murray is in many respect an enigma. Murray is a school massacre survivor, a winner and a street fighter. That makes him different from the rest of the British sport stars. And that is perhaps why most people really cannot warm to him as they did to Tim Henman. Personally, I prefer Andy Murray all the way because he got this killer instinct Tim Henman never had.

I think you'll find that Andy Murray's brother won a mixed doubles title at Wimbledon a few years ago.

I meant to say the Men's Doubles, not the Mixed.

That said, if his brother is good at the doubles, then maybe when Andy gets a bit past it for the singles then they can play together instead!

I was watching TdF, was cheering on the Frech guy,^_^

Yes but that finished before the Tennis did.

Think the Swiss Army Knives will be able to deal with that threat!

What are they going to do, burn them in a strong light with their little magnifying glasses? Stab them with their toothpicks? Terrify them with their tweezers? What?!

I thought it was a great match with good play by both sides. I hate it when someone wins by just over-powering the opponent by power alone. There was lots to watch, rallies, unexpected returns and the emotion at the end of it - I think that will have changed some peoples opinions of him.

As for whether he knew anyone killed in the shooting. You wouldn't need to, there would bound to be classmates with siblings in that year, and parents becoming over protective. It will have touched and changed his childhood.
