Train times are taken into account when planning the event. I read somewhere that the start was delayed by 10 min, but still the tailwind was sufficiently strong that the peloton arrived well ahead of schedule.Somebody designed a route where there was a possibility that the peloton would get hit by a speeding train?
I wonder what the margin of error is? I'm also not sure that action should be taken against individual riders.
