This is Buzz Aldrin. I spoke to him at the Goodwood revival a couple of years ago.
I managed to shoehorn this very question into the conversation. His answer (and I quote) "It would have been easier to land on the moon, than do what all the crazies tell us we did to fake it". That told me.

Real. Several nations, none of whom are especially fond of the imperialist American scum, have photographed the remains of the Apollo craft on the surface, and even the trails of footprints. A bit hard to plant unless you've actually been there.

Never mind all the evidence (of which there's a lot) and that all the conspiracy theories are utter drivel... never mind all that....
NASA went to the moon 5 more times!!
