....was fortunate enough to visit the Science Museum in London on my last UK visit. They have a full size model of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module 'Eagle'. One thing struck me immediately was how big it really was, way bigger than I'd have thought without seeing it!

Best though, was the actual Apollo 10 Command Module, the real McCoy, used in the final rehearsal for the big one. When you see it up close with all its re-entry battle scars, hard to imagine how such stuff could be faked. Anyways, check it out if you get the chance - no better way to spend a few hours...........

If you liked that (and the national space centre in Leicester is a good day out too), you'd be amazed by the Kennedy space centre at Cape Canaveral. You don't quite get the scale of the craft and rockets they used until you get up close to them.

.....was in Florida for a couple of weeks back in the early 90's, but never got round to seeing Cape Canaveral - really regret it now. Hoping to go back some time soon, and for sure it'll be top of my list.....

I was still at primary school when the moon landing happened, seemed like so much was going on back then - Concord and Jumbo jet test flights as well..........way ahead of its time, or so it seems now.....

I like to call "Americans" "USAsians".

(Oh, and Aussies and Kiwis both think the other have appalling accents, so are highly offended if you confuse them. The trick is New Zealandish has had a vowel shift, so if the vowels sound "wrong" then it's a Kiwi)

Err. yeah it is. Physiographically speaking.
No. Not geographically, not politically. Greenland is an island, separate and entirely distinct from the North American continent. Politically, it is a Danish possession.

Was the 2010 FIFA World Cup Faked?

1. I couldn't get tickets, nor could anyone I know
2. I've never met anyone who actually was there who could prove it
3. It would be cheaper to fake than to hold the World Cup, with technology available at the time
