Since when has acting like a decent human being been considered "pc cobblers"?

+1

I don’t think being pc enters into it (the term “pc” is so vague and unclear for me it’s pretty redundant and meaningless unless qualified) – I just think lowering yourselves to petty name calling over the internet is about as pathetic and sad as the kind of “get a car” or “you don’t pay road tax” shite that flows like verbal diarrhoea from the very mouths of those you despise.

How very british, the assailant is being defended as a poor victim, leftist rhetoric.

Bollocks, no-one has defended her. Just some of us are pissed off with the level to which others have stooped in their name calling. Bet it just rolls off their tongues IRL too

Why politicise things?

They are trying to get the thread moved to P&L

What I object to is that the poor driving and poor attitude exhibited by the driver (pulling out in front of a vulnerable road user and using the cycle lane as a de facto give way line) is being obfuscated by silly name calling, pc jibes and a binary political interpretation of people's views. But hey, what do I know - I'm just a stoop-shouldered, bald, ugly man.

Exactly. She drove badly. She reacted badly. End of story.

In situations like this you need to ride a recumbent, slow a bit, drop down in the seat to take the impact and aim for a vulnerable part of the wing, hit with foot. Guarantied to make them think twice in future, start a fight or have them run you off the road!

stay safe everyone.

I once managed to rake a great 3 foot long scar on a Jaguar when they left hooked my old Trice they caught the pedal..... Best bit was I tried to stop them, but got a one fingered salute and they drove off.

Mentioned it to the Police as an incident, and heard nothing else

Who’s defending her? Her driving was bad and her reaction was wrong – no one on her is “defending the poor victim” – some of us are just pointing out that resorting to name calling or making flippant remarks wishing someone dies quickly (because they are a bit of an idiot/overweight) is just the sort of pathetic postings most of you, quite rightly, slag off when it’s directed at cyclists. Leftist rhetoric - LMAO

Do you think that, the motor vehicle drivers, I held up when I was 30 odd stone, cycling to work , had the right, because they were pissed at me for slowing them down, to take the piss out of my size ?

It happened to me almost every day for about 8 months
