I'd rather drink from a real cat than drink that filth!

My plan is to ignore it completely, it's not something I look forward to at all.

Only up side is I've managed to get a few days off work just before, and with my shift pattern it means I get quite a decent break for not many holidays.

I currently have no plans for Christmas. I normally go up to my sister's and spend it with them, the nieces and my folks... but my sister fell out with me on FaceRant for having the audacity to talk politics in the run up to a snap election, and I haven't seen or heard anything from her since... so maybe, just maybe... I'll have a quiet one.

Nothing.
I'll ride my bike, play guitar and walk the dog. Just like any other day. Might wander down to the Christmas church service.
All my family are either long gone or I have nothing to do with them. I've not actually had a Christmas present in 20 years, although I have bought them for ex Hubs' family.

The chap that I am seeing will be off somewhere with his elderly parents and his son, so I won't see him. However, I will be at my new job by then so I might try and work over the Christmas period. I do find it very lonely. I have volunteered, in the past, as a server at the Salvation Army Christmas lunches. I might see about doing the same at my nearest one here. It's a lot of fun.

I have started my own personal tradition of a bike ride on Christmas day. I've done that for about 8 or 9 years now. Roads are quiet and I can enjoy the peace.

Maz is going to her Son's for dinner so I get to do what I want (probably a curry) For those who don't know the Son was the person who burgled us when he needed money for his drug habit, nicked my Japanese 'Squier' Telecaster, £2,000 worth of Pentax Camera Gear and my Raleigh Mustang along with all Maz's jewellery and her Camcorder. Maz has forgiven him but I never will.
I can understand how you feel. Recently, my stepgrandson threatened to smashed a tv over my head when he had a brief stay with us. He also owes me lots of money which I will never get back, so I feel the same way as you.

It's a fecker when something like that happens.
He sort of got his comeuppance a bit later after being arrested for knocking his girlfiend (sic) around, he was remanded into custody and when it came to court the said girlfiend had told the feds she wanted to drop the charges. They were having none of this so she never even got to speak in court instead telling the Magistrate that he was 'under investigation' and a 'danger to the public' so it was back off to chokey for a month. The Police did this 6-7 times before he was let go, OK remand isn't the same as 'full fat' prison but still fair play to them.
