A nice original Mini Cooper 970 and 1071 can fetch £15k.
There were no Mini Cooper 970 or 1071 they were only Cooper S , I doubt very much if there is an nice original 970 left , there were less than a 1,000 made and they were aimed specifically at <1000cc racing classes.

I currently have a Suzuki Vitara - not fast but capable and fun despite its flaws. Very much like my bikes in fact.

Also, currently off the road awaiting restoration is my (rather modified)1984 Mini Mayfair, seen here in happier days:

2000/X Citroen Xantia HDi 110 Estate. Owned since new and now pushing 150k miles. Family car until 2005 now mostly a station hack and back up but still manages 10k/pa. Will take four bikes on roof without too much trouble.

Other car is a 2005/05 Citroen Berlingo 1.9D in Desire trim - owned kept by Mrs B but in practice we chop/change. Family car that does the French camping trips and other holidays. Also bought new and now on 125k. Can carry a bike or three in back provided rear seats are folded but too high for bikes on roof.
