Like Smokin' Joe I worked all over the Bank Holiday (just home now in fact) I have hardly been able to get out for a decent time on the bike for weeks now, and the FNRttC is this Friday! I hope I don't embarass myself and bale out halfway or summat silly. Still, I will be riding (sort of) home

Busy day friday, cleaned the kitchen, took son #1 to Games workshop and he bought some chaos hounds. headed back threw a chicken in the oven and proceeded to paint some kniggits and the hounds with son, until chicken was ready and then i finished off making a full sunday lunch (on friday no less)
saturday was just lounge around the house day, watched the cup final and spat at wigin who were gracious enough to laugh in leeds' face over the benefit of doubt try :/
painted again with son #1 (he loves his model paintin)
sunday unfortunatly spent at mother in laws - wasted day
monday chilled out again, late rise, lazy breakfast and whiled the day away playing with the kids and watching movies on tv with them (home alone 1 and 2 and the librarian)

no cycling sadly but i reckon a good relaxing weekend, which is what i needed tbh.

Best wishes to mini cyberknight ...

I went off to Snetterton race circuit on Friday afternoon to be the offical photographer for one of the teams in the 24 hour 2CV race. This started on Saturday afternoon at 5pm and went on until, well, Sunday afternoon at 5pm, so together with the big piss up on Sunday night after the race and a four hour drive each way, didn't leave me much time for anything else.
Here are a very few of the photos I took. We came in 15th out of a field of 32.

didn't touch the bike  but I turned my brothers bare (painted) chassis into a rolling one with complete drivetrain and steering and fuel tank. With plumbing and wiring it would run  but needs the body on first.

God knows why I hate cagers

hope all ok

mine was ok

saturday started off ok by end of sat in doghouse for numerouse reasons

sunday not bad , quick walk round local car boot and then a nature spot no bargains and no tufty the duck

monday am , started off weeding then our wood arrived for raised veggie garden beds so can only put small 1 in place at mo so it just needs levelling off and screwing together .

monday pm sat and watched 2 films in afternoon .

so not to bad all in , had worse

I seem to remember Tufty being a squirrel that talked about road safety. But then it was a long time ago.

Hope the young CK is feeling better.

Work Sat and Sun, bike on Monday, 65 miles after preparing a beast of a meal for us and 2 friends, featuring pudding of chocolate chip banoffee cheesecake
Had to go on bike once I'd put that in the fridge, as it's song of 'eeeeat meeee' was too loud, and I didn't trust myself.

:hungry:

Hope your lad is on the mend CK.

Yesterday we cycled from home to the big dam at the top of Glen Strathfarrar. On the way back I got a puncture (made a right mess of the inner tube, tyre is fine though. It would not mend. After an hour or so of faffing, Packrat said to take his bike, go home and get the car and pick him up. I cycled 10 miles in 39 minutes, including circumnavigating the end gate, asking the gate keeper if I could have special permission to come back through after 8pm (they were fine about it). I was back up the Strath and collecting Packrat, and my Giant in bang on 60 minutes.
I cycled 32.5 miles in the end. Pack cycled 22.1. Both of broke a pb for distance yesterday though.

That Sun Solo of his is a great bike. Way way too big for me but it was fun to ride a bike with the lever shifters (difficult to reach as my arms are just not long enough on a big frame)
