I personally think the Bianchi is a bit overpriced but anyone with any experience of this bike or know anything about the others I would be most grateful, as ever, for any feedback.

I appreciate that this forum has been very helpful in this regard and when I get the chance I'd like to make a small donation toward running costs...
many thanks all.

The Peugeot has good components but is old fashioned - I find A Headsets much better, for instance. Of the three still available I would go for the Dawes and from the bids to date so would everyone else.

You do realise that they are different sizes? No-one will fit both a 56cm frame and a 58cm.

I have a peug tour ed in the top link. It was a limited edition import at the time, cost £800 back then (lbs price). Was a nice ride, no problems with it at all.

The pinarello has been sold.

The Bianchi looks to be the best of the rest- there is only 500 miles on the clock - but I wouldn't go much above the £300 given the naff wheels etc.

They might well do. I've owned bikes from 56cm to my current 61cm and all have fitted great. The common measurement between them all has been the effective top tube length. Seat tube length means nothing, especially as different manufacturers measure it in different ways.

Thanks ever so for all the replies. I am 33.1 inch inside leg and around 5"10. Surely the most important aspect here is the length of the seatpost and how much that can be altered?

Pete, how much more would you pay above for the Bianchi, because I reckon it might be worth a wait. Oh, have sent you a message and thanks again for your input.

Ideally you need a 52cm size (with sloping top tube) which equates to 56cm if the top tube is horizontal. The seat posts have enough spare to cope with sizes either side of this(50/54 and 54/58)
