Yes, but you will need to add something acidic to release the CO2. The yoghurt may work but a teaspoon of vinegar will do the trick.
PS When I make bread I use lemonade as the liquid. It gives it a slight citrus taste.

home made flat breads, (per person/ bread) 40g each of Self Raising flour and natural Yoghurt (or Creme Fraiche), pinch of salt and a tsp of oil.
mix together and roll into a ball on a floured surface.
Roll it out flat, and then cook for 2-3 mins per side in a hot dry non stick frying pan
you can add in herbs garlic niggela seeds etc f you want, just keep equal quantities of SR flour and Yoghurt.
Will that work with plain flour?
