What do you look for when buying a new chain

Obviously you choose one of the correct size. But there's so much other bllx spouted about chains and there is significant variations in prices for any particular sized chains.

I look out for the letters 'KMC'.

For the nice bike I look for the word Campagnolo written on the box, the other bikes get whatever the bike shop has in. Which is SRAM.

No difference IME for a mid range chain. Former bike I commuted heavily on, I had Campag Veloce as standard, then fitted (not in any particular order) 105, KMC and Sram.
All the chains lasted very similar mileage.
So I buy whatever mid range chain that happens to be cheapest at that time.

Have just fitted a KMC chain, will let you know.^_^
I have run KMC before but that was when i used Campagnolo, not that impressed back then, will see how it goes with Shimano.:okay:
