What, exactly, is wrong with a McDonald's?

I get a strange craving for a cheeseburger once every ten months. Ten months later, I get one again, and I can't quite remember why. Eating one alone in a dingy McD car park in the van with the radio on, pretending not to be like an identical sad git in the car next door.

The buns are awful BTW.

The food's empty, generally tasteless crap, that's my problem with McDonald's. You feel bloated immediately, you get a big sugar rush, then feel awful, and you're hungry not that long after. That, and the endless queue of obese van drivers and people carriers full of kids who can't wait to get in there. It's food for the unimagianitive. And the endless litter that boy racer car driver takeaway customers leave in country lane laybys everywhere. For some reason junk food outlets appeal to people who chuck litter out of windows.
Other than that they're okay I suppose.

PAGING ALL SNOBS!! :giggle:

Sorry Doug, but you did page me.

Up... way up! I just love those flame grilled burgers and gorgeous chips. Always served piping hot too unlike the tepid junk from McD.
Which is why you should both visit the newly opened branch in Kirkstall. It's one of the new ones where you can order food on a tablet and the polite and friendly staff will deliver it to your table. So @slowmotion you don't have to sit in the car eating (though there is a drive-through if you want to) and @SpokeyDokey your food will still be hot when it's brought to you.

Did I mention my son has a student job there?

Ok, i confess i have had the occasional burger and chips(i refuse to say fries even though i've just said it in these brackets) and they've been quite nice.
Aah.. I see you've been to the branch in Kirkstall. :okay:
