Sicario 2, following the original last week. Both solid, somewhat thought-provoking and engaging action flicks centred around the US' meddling with its neighbours. Stories were decent, acting good, nice cinematography and a great, suitably ominous soundtrack.

I think I'd give them both 7.5 or 8 out of 10.

As an aside I watched these on Youtube where they're officially "free with ads"; or indeed "free without ads" if you have a decent ad-blocker.

IMO this is well worth checking out - there's a fair range of free offerings on there; ranging from absolute dross to some really decent films

War Machine on Netflix..

A definite @Drago special featuring Alan Ritchson (Reacher) as a soldier on a training mission that doesn't quite go to plan.

Think Predator but low on plot and acting ability 🤣

5/10

It was laughably bad wasn't it. At least the injured black dude had an easier ride with his script.

I don't need to say why you should watch this, awful time for Cambodia and they are still suffering the after effects today.
A friend's daughter worked in the Government as a barrister and was seconded to Cambodia a few years ago.

She came back saying that she had never been anywhere before where the sight of dead bodies lying unheeded in the street was treated as something entirely unremarkable.

A busy day yesterday so once cleaned up, sat on the bed relaxing, I'm gonna see what's on.
Prometheus...yep that'll do, seen it at least once but don't mind rewatching films. That did me perfectly till sleep time

I watched and enjoyed it, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't bother to watch it again. Got rave reviews when it came out including a couple of Oscar nominations and one win, but really, it is a beautifully shot, fabulously acted, borefest ...

Just seen a preview of "Project Hail Mary". My son keeps enthusing about 70mm imax projections on a very large screen, but this is the 1st time I've appreciated quite how impressive it can be.
It helps that i enjoyed the movie too! I'll give it 4 out of 5.

The Naked Gun.

Absolutely woeful. Liam Neeson has none of Leslie Nielsen's comic timing, acting ability or charisma. Just appalling.

0/10.
