Must be nearly 40 years since I saw it, that was at school.

I really hadn't remembered much of that; I thought it might be interesting drama, i wasn't prepared for it to be so horrifying.

I think I've had my fill of it for another 4 decades, but for anyone else; Radio 4 are doing a feature on it, "Reweaving Threads" on Saturday evening. BBC4 was going to televise the film the next month.

Lee - 7/10

Biopic of the photographer Lee Miller elevated by the performances of Kate Winslet and Andy Samberg.

It's a bit all over the place tonally, and for a film about a photographer I didn't think it was particularly well shot. There's clearly a lot more to Miller's life which is only hinted at in the film. It would benefit from being over two or three parts, but from what I've read it struggled with funding so that probably just wasn't possible.

Tall Girl - brilliant, a must see...
...thought my 9 year-old. Actually, the kids got bored of it and the grown-ups dutifully 'followed-through' the teenage love-flick. Positive messages all round. Will probably watch Tall Girl 2 - with the kids.

We talked about our bodies, our relationship with them, the things we like about them, the things we find difficult about them. loved the Running Man as a kid. Arnie could do no wrong during those years (in my teenage eyes )
will need to get a watch of it again. i think i watched Raw Deal a while back, it's less memorable to me though

I've always preferred Raw Deal over the Running Man, the one line, 'you should not drink and bake,' is enough to win it for me. 😂

Although the all time fun pack Arnie action classic has to be Commando, more one liners than Roger Moore.

The Running Man was one of my favourites as a kid but I watched it again a couple of years ago and it didn't quite entertain me as much as I thought it would. Commando was better IMHO. Predator was a masterpiece, I don't think it's dated much since its release.

I thought Raw Deal was mediocre at best

Starts off as a tribute to old school horror then kind of tried to become it's own thing without really being original enough. For a low budget effort it's really good, but it never quite broke free of the films the makers clearly love so much.
